Friday's 4-3 victory over Kelowna came at a price as Tri-City Americans lost forward Jason Reese midway through the third period.
Reese and Kelowna forward Colin Long got tangled up after a face-off, the two went down and Long landed on Reese's left leg. Reese had to be helped off the ice at 10:15 and did not return.
Reese was scratched for Saturday's game and is questionable for Game 3 on Tuesday in Kelowna.
"It was an innocent looking play," said Tri-City general manager Bob Tory. "We've never talked about injuries. We've always preached a team concept -- no excuses, no complaints. We expect the guys to pick up for each other.
"We are going to move on with the players we have and hope to have Jason back in the lineup Tuesday."
Reese, who had 31 goals and 50 assists during the regular season, leads the Americans in the playoffs with five goals, all of which have come on the power play.
