If you just dropped 61 on the Knicks at Madison Square Garden and you have 20,000 New Yorkers mad at you, then you better have good protection.

Who better to protect you than Big Bruce Leamer (wearing the red tie next to Kobe)?

Bruce is a long time BWKS Black Belt, a former professional Kick Boxer, a retired Santa Ana Police officer and a former Navy Seal. He is now Kobe's bodyguard.

Speaking of Kobe this leads into something about the Bob White Invitational (you didnt think I would post without mentioning the tournament did you?). Every year we have a silent auction at the BWI to raise more funds for the RFKC. Kobe will be donating a signed basketball as well as two autographed pictures for the auction. Think about that, one of the most famous athletes in the world is supporting our efforts to help the RFKC.

Here is a partial list of items that will be available for auction (http://www.bobwhiteinvitational.com/200 ... items.html)

16 days to go and the good news keeps flowing in. It should be a great day and I look forward to seeing many of you there.

Wow, that's an impressive list in the silent auction.

I see two Kenpo-related sculptures listed. Could you let us know who the sculptor is?

Bill,

The artist is one of our Black Belts named Steve Lustig. He does great work. Here is a picture of one of the Kenpo sculptures named Salutation

More of Steves work can be found on his website http://web.mac.com/stevenlustig.

It should be a great day and the auction should help us send even more kids to camp.

Very Nice! Thanks for showing it. Is it possible to take part in the auction for items w/o being present? (Other side of the country and all...)

Bill,

Good question. I have a note into one of our BBs, Gerry Schmidt (the guy who coordinates our auction). I'll let you know what he says.

Are there other people out there who would be interested in bidding on items remotely? If so shoot me an email at thebobwhiteinvitational@yahoo.com and I'll let Gerry know.

Thanks for the support.
