Who want's to debate me about Clyde's Kenpo? because that's what it is here on "Clyde.net".... and I would venture to say, that while you site there waiting for someone to come along that you can educate in the finer points of "Clyde's" Kenpo, you will get few takers. I commend you on you vigilance and persistence though.

Good Journey,
Todd Durgan

and before you post about being touchy about the video, two things; I didn't post it, and I didn't take it down. Nor did I care that you turned into an opportunity to expand and teach your ideologies of Kenpo. The discussion turned into a sound discussion, but it really had little to do with the video lesson.

So, nothing to debate about other than you're not getting enough attention or something.

It was an open call, and yes, why wouldn't I expound on my views of Kenpo, kinda be stupid not to? If you have something worth putting in text for the world to see, then by all means, do so.

And why are you calling this the "Clyde Net"? Are you so disinteresting that it can't be "the Todd Net"? All I do is post my opinions on what I know about the art, and you're welcome to do the same.

So, if you got something to discuss, do so, but don't cry and whine about it.

What's the difference between Twin Kimono and Raking Mace, or, Leaping Crane and Circling the Horizon?

Twin Kimono - 2 hand lapel grab from 12
Raking Mace - 2 hand lapel grab pull-in from 12

the attack is different

Leaping Crane - right step through punch from 12
Circling The Horizon - right step through straight punch from 12

again, the attack.

Really, the attack? So what's different about the attacks? Why do one over the other?

They are the same technique one is a push one is a pull. Twin kimono is a push with different targets, Raking mace is a pull and instead of hyper extension you use borrowed force to uppercut. It also ends more like snapping twig. So what is different is the nature of the attack and the way I execute the same motion.

Leaping crane and Circling the Horizon are also the same technique with the defining part of the technique (the circular path)being on different planes. One goes in one goes out and down.

At least that's what I see at this point in my journey.
