I wish they would fix the webcam to see how it really is instead of how it was two weeks ago. Anyone have an up-to-date pic of Hyak or Central or West?

I've been sick this weekend so I was not able to get up and take any new photo's. I should have something new today or tomorrow.

well the snow we were supposed to get turned into basically nothing. After snowing at Hyak all day yesterday there was a total of about a 1/4" at 9pm. This morning it was 34 degrees and melting.

I went up to Hyak today at noon and it appeared there was about 2" new and about 1/2" at Hyak. I drove part way up road 9070 (testing out my 4x4) then snapped a photo with my new phone (my camera battery was dead). It was snowing light and about 3" on the ground where I stopped. Nothing to get excited about, but it looks nice to have snow on the trees again. It is suppose to be clear all week so I'm sure most of the snow will disappear by next weekend.

They did have the Central Express lift running. It is nice to see the area getting the lifts ready BEFORE the snow falls. Booth liked to wait until after the snow had fallen, then begin to get things ready so they could open a week late.

Do you mean the Central Express was running as in the lights were on and you could hear it or the chairs were moving? Check out the DOT, it says "traction tires advised." Thats a good thing.

Now I see that both the Alpental and the Summit West webcams are not operating. I sent many emails to the Summit asking for a webcam at Summit West several years ago and they came thru with it. Hope they are back in operation soon.
