I recently resealed a 147BP, and have found the thing has basically horrible accuracy, haha. I've tried Crosman Field Hunting (I think thats what they're called) and Gamo Round Nose. Those are the two .177 types I have lying around. With the choke at the end for bb's I think I might be doomed with this one. I don't have any bb's to test but I doubt they're great either. Oh well.

Let me know whats worked for you, though..

thanks have a good weekend!

just found some Gamo Masterpoints that I forgot I had, cuz they're too big to fit in my other 177's.. they shoot great out of the 147. Tight fit.

Hope this can help anyone who might have the same question.

thanks

I Have a Suggestion... Find a 1760 Barrel 24" Long & Make a New Barrel
for it! I did! If I had One laying around,I'd Make it for you ,That's
if you didn't have a Lathe or tools to Make it or a friend to do it!

I use the H&N FTT 8.4 Gr. Copper Plated or the 10.6 Gr Barracuda (also
a Copper plated Pellet) They're accuarte in My "New" Barrel!

thats a good idea and very nice of you to say that!

The barrel was very rusted on the outside, but the bore is shiny. I stripped off the rust but there are some marks that I don't think will ever disappear. Plan on rebluing it and refinishing the stock, this week hopefully. maybe giving it to my dad for fathers day when its done

Youre right tho, I don't have those tools (maybe someday)

thanks again for the kindness

Also to shed some Light on the situation! That's why we're
here to assist our fellow airgunners! You can also try the 1/4"
Poly Transfer Port Mod via ice maker Poly tube sold at Hardware stores
(Lowe's,Ace etc...!) that with a new barrel and New seals Will get you
accurate & shooting in the 700's range! I know the 147BP shoots BB's &
Pellets, But if you must shoot BB's,Try Gamo's .177 Lead BB's They'll
take the Rifling(once you get new Barrel. I belive I said I have a 1760
barrel in the reply, I could send you this barrel, since it's already machined to
fit & is re-crowned & HasLead in from breech already. If you Like & I'll get a
New 1760 barrel. since I have some more time...now. Would you like it?
$20 Shipped & ready to go! Up to you,Let me know!

If you're willing to part with the 1760 barrel, Id be happy to take it off your hands, I think it'd be a great addition to the gun!
The gun has new seals, and I already replaced the transfer port. It also has great grain in the wood which will look good when its refinished, I'll post a pic when its said and done.

You can email me your address and I'll send you a money order if that sounds good?

Thanks again, looking forward to it!
