yeah I know, plain Jane, but I hunt with nearly every ag I have, this one will be no different.
I dont look AT them, I look DOWN them

Does the valve need to secured by a mod of some sort, to go with this higher pressure?

If so, please point me to a pictorial link.

I think I have found all I need for the valve mods.
I have a good handle on the trigger work needed, and may try some fabbing of my own.

The way I understand it, the hipacs can be used for bulk co2 or hpa, correct? Niiiiice..........

Gonna see what she does with valve mod and adjuster. this oughta keep me busy till the hipac are available again soon.

Would like to know any of you guys that have attached wire-stocks to the back of the tube...are these solid? I mean, if you slipped with it, and landed on it, would it stand up to it, or break at that point?

I have the pistol grip stock coming, but my ULTIMATE DREAM needs to incorporate more of a takedown design.
Let me share my vision......

A 24 inch case....
Opens up and there in the foam is the whole shebang........a takedown .22 air rifle, cart-bulk-hipac powered, with a red dot and a sling, can of pellets on one side of the case....
While on the other side....is a takedown spinning/fly combo, and a small tackelbox of the best lures I know of.

Its starting to come together....

God bless,

Farmer

..believe it is a one-man operation, with a "tame" machinist (meaning he's not part of the organization, but does the construction of parts as a run). The HiPac conversions are a side-line to his "real" job.

The front ends are kind of universal (meaning the front section of a 22450/2250/2260 conversion tube are the same, it is the tube length that varies).

So am thinking that he gets the machinist to make a run of tube every so often...sells the stock he has...then gets another run made. It is not like he keeps a crap load of them in stock.

Does seem like the 2240.2250 length conversions are out of stock right now (the 2260 conversions are in stock), but I'd think the 2240 conversions would be his "bread and butter" units, out selling the others by a good margin,so they are likely to be back in stock first.

The only "work" is retaining the valve better...you can do that and NOT keep the gun from notmal operation with 12gr.

In fact, that's the best part of the conversion...can always just unscrew the HiPac tube and go back to 12gr. (or use the conversion tube as a co2 bulk fill device).

Lou,
Did you pin your valve before installing the kit?

Thanks,

I am getting 10 shots out of a custom shop 2300. 14" barrel, trigger job, Stacie breech.
40 pumps to 3000psi 10 shots from 765fps to 700fps. Then 25 pumps to bring it back up. Getting 10 shot dime sized groups at 30' with 14.8 gr, pellets. Im liking it, doubt if I will do anything else to it besides shoot it. Pellets flatten out and break up when they hit the 22cal trap. Not really an indoor shooter, not to loud outside.

Farmer, Here's a pic of a prototype I made a while back. It's solid but if you fell on it it would probably be damaged. It's made out of aluminum tubing which would bend. The adapter is machined from solid aluminum. I plan to make another adapter out of steel to compare with the aluminum. The threads should hold up well in steel although I haven't stripped any threads in the aluminum version.

Have a small volume of air to work from, so speed is really going to cost shot count.
What Unit...2240/2250/2260 (different volumes, so could set them for the same speeds but see a big difference in shot count).
