A few dots is even better for quieting, but harder to keep in place.Replacing the chunk of rubber vacuum hose used by the factory with a piece of silicone or urethane hose works too.

I've drilled a small undersized hole and used pencil erasers where there is currently a round rubber dot glued in. Works pretty well. Use a decent brand pencil as the erasers are much better quality and not so brittle. They last much longer. Easy, cheap clack begone.

Thanks for the ideas. My rifle is currently at Mac1 getting a Steroid upgrade. Can't wait to shoot it!

How much did it do to the noise reduction? I had some Dr Scholls mole skin on there when I sent it in. It's kind of a real thin felt, didn't work very good.
How do you like your Steroid? How's the pumping, lighter or about the same? I'm thinking I'll have mine back in the next week or two. I hope it's not longer than that. Tim's been real busy lately.
