The RG was a Saturday night special 357/38 HW made as a Volume getter. Tasco was behind the Saxby and Palmer rifle and pisto projects and they were a fairly well promoted product in the day.
Marksman Products/SR Industries handled the line and it was sort of a flash in the pan.
What it seemed to make obvious is that when you make airgunning as much as a pain as reloading it takes a lot of the fun out of the shooting activity.
Couple that with the fairly mediocre quality and you have a project that didn't really ever go anywhere. Once someone did a real heist with one of these saturday night special conversions the law came down on them and made them rerdundant in the original primary market. The UK has banned all Pistols regardless of FAC certs if the pistols exceeds 6 fpe.
Other legislation banned the Lookalikes in the UK regardless or output so the guns pretty much got destroyed over there.
I would put them in the semi collectable not that special category as the cartridges seals were pure euro and subject to failure at any moment.
With some good seals I'm sure that project could have been done much better but hype drove the sales not quality or customer feedback.
That is what flashes in the pan are made of. Hype unrealised.
