refinishing a break barrel

should I paint it or just redo the blueing.
also anytips from you guys who have done it before. I have never refinished a gun.

Got some cold blueing from accadomy for $6 and it looks great.

Completely disassemble the gun, degrease very carefully, and start smoothing the metal. start with "shop roll" 180 sandpaper from Harbor Freight if it's really rough, graduate to at least 400 grit before you apply the bluing, boil after you have the evenness and color you want.

Brownells has more complete directions.
