Mike/2289hunter was lamenting he couldnt enter cuz he spent too much time on his 2289.

So my question....

Its my understanding that the only differnces between the 1377 and the 2289 is barrel/breech caliber, the differnt pump arm, and the stock for the 2289 carbine format.

since I'm assuming that custom furniture, carbine stocks of some sort, and some one will convert the 1377 to 22... Why cant he enter the 2289?

(ok, other than one more genius build that we all lose to....)

What say ye builders?

This is for fun...the more the merrier.

We have until the end of January if I recall...should be plenty of time for the rest of us to catch up.

Ok, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.....

I have a 2289 so I cna compare dirctly.....

the 2289 is a carbine. 1377 a pistol.  ones. 22, the other 177. the pump arm "grips", or the furniture if you will, is different (2289 ergonomics are much better). Breeches/bolts unique to the caliber.

pump tube is the same, innards are the same, trigger and grip frame, you guessed it, interchangable. barrels are the same OD (but differnt lengths, the '89 is 14 in length IIRC, the '77 is 10), barrel bands can swap across either way.pump linkage hardware is the same.

Far as I'm concerned, the only real differnece is caliber. Ive a 1377 with a 2289 pump arm, and the carbine stock, looks just like a 2289..... 1789 I guess
