wonder what he's up to,,,,,

I think 'glass is an area ripe for exploration from airgunners.....

Easily sculpted to exotice desgins, strong and lightwight.

Downside is smells as your work it. Solution: big gan in the window

I wanted to see what everyone was talking about and trying to figure why you couldn't do a thumbhole. I finally got the site saw his mold split horizontally. That explained the no thumb hole. All the synthetic stocks I've seen have the mold split vertically.
High school shop class had us making green sand molds to cast aluminum, so I understand a bit about mold making limitations. And a man's got to know his limitations.

I may not mess with FG but I like to see what's going on and check out others designs.

Thought I could cran one out in ann afternoon, but didnt figure in drying times for some of the prep bases.....

Which is where I left it last night

Carve out a styrofoam blank and cover it in fiberglass. No mold needed

SiO sunday I cut and shaped the foam, painted the form with gesso and let it dry.

so between the knees the headaches and half the Pacific northwest burning, ive not done much building. Smoke is so bad I cant see the 3 mountain ranges that border Border, the closest is 3 miles away....
