even back then was playing with ergonomics.

2250 is very easy to build around.

Do you have a picture of the finished product? Looks pretty cool.

I'd thought about making perforated handguards from PVC but don't have the patience to mark and drill all those holes.

I plink, therefore I am.

No, I never finished it.Not much further from the point pictured, I ran into the limits of my tooling ability, and futzed with it for a while, then checked it on the shelf. Year or so later I revisited it, and relaized my design ( the "mechanical" part, the aestethetic portion was underdeveloped) was flawed and well beyond my noobie skills and tooling.

I took a lot from that project. Better tooling was acquired second hand or cheap as I could, and worked on cleaning up my design efforts.

I want to do a Crosman that looks like a wacky cartoon gun sort of like Marvin The Martian's but I'm thinking that I may get in trouble for it because it doesn't look real enough.... LOL

they could be fired from the cheek, forehead, center of chest, forearm mounted, etc.All the above were used for firearms at one point, with varying levels of success, but usually failed for packaging and recoil reasons. No reason an airgun needs to look like a firearm.

An air cane intended to be fired from the cheek, for instance, could have a tiny ghost ring and spur trigger that were folded under a sliding ferule near the grip...the only clue beforehand would be a tiny bead near the tip of the cane.

Or take the free pistol concept a step further....allow the grip extension to contact the forearm, supporting the wrist (or even elbow)taking all the wrist muscles out of the accuracy equation. You could even start the barrel back at the shoulder..it wouldn't look like a gun (at least not one from this timeline...)but it might look very good, and certainly out of the box
