Had it choked down to 395 a few times..... then began to understand how to work it (and no I dont think I could explain it) and managed a few in the mid 600s...... then only filled to 2600

Shot this:

Super H points, 14,2 iirc Throw 1 turn in from all out, Preload 9.25 increase (clockwise i think) 2600 fill

696..4, 714.4, 713.4, 721.0, 735.1, 746.8, 750.9,  2300 end

2300 start 748.2, 750.2, 749.1, 768.7, 759.6, 758.1,  755.9, 749.4 1900 end

1900 start 749.5, 741.9, 739.7, 728.6, 726.1, 717.5, 704.8, 699.1  1400 end

still got that slight peak at the end of the second magazine. need to squish that out to the other end. I was also srpised to see that gross adjsutments had to be made to see a "visible" difference.

I thought I figured out how to adjust, but what your writing is just the opposite of what the OM says to do.
the hammer spring (3/16 hex) will only turn 7-1/4 turns to full cw and the hammer striker(1/8 hex) 12 turns to full cw.

forget saying preload, because both the spring and striker have preload.

if your adjusting with the 1/8 hex your adjusting the striker preload.

if your adjusting with the 3/16 hex your adjusting the spring preload.

now if your adjusting 9-1/2 turns, it can only be the striker preload, which acording to the OM decreases the flow of air, so your choking the air flow.

if your adjusting the spring preload, it only will turn 7-1/2 turns, that I know from doing it, once adjusted full ,the hammer spring guide will only turn till the opened end of the threads and will turn but will not doing anything to the spring.

#
20 Striker
21 Pin, Acetal
22 Hammer Pin
23 Hammer
24 Spring, Hammer
25 Guide, Hammer Spring

this is getting too technical for me, its giving me a migraine. all I want is to get the numbers your getting.

now what are you adjusting to get your numbers, spring or striker?

I came to the 9.25 turns by adding in and taking out the adjustment turns as I made them.

SO Ive probably screwed them math on the preload.

and I'lla dmit, itll probably only help a small portion of our conversation.... <img alt="happy.gif" src="/images/happy.gif" width="14" height="14">

1/8 adjustment controls how much the hammer travels: stroke or throw

3/16 one controls how much hammer/striker spring preload

so I am currently adjusted stroke/throw 1 turn in from full out

and hammer spring preload is maxed, at 7

hope that helps. Need Steve's pic of the wardern explaining the communications gap he percieves.....

so your spring is only out 7 turns not 9-1/2 like you thought. we're making progress, sorry, old age hits us all at one point or another,
Now the numbers you are getting are still more than most ??? dont know why but they are. so how do we figure that out ??
