Hi I have an older 1377, sliding breech cover type that has had a hard life. I would like to refresh it without going nuts here. I have read and seen video that the steel breech offered by Crosman will work, though the bolt will not cock the gun and the rear cocking knob must still be used. That's fine with me and am considering this addition as it looks like a great upgrade. My understanding is that a new barrel is needed to mate with the breech; question is which one? from the Crosman site I got part #1377-075, the one for the bolt handle model. I also need a complete seal kit, and the not so helpful person at Crosman said they don't have parts for the older models. Is there a cross reference to the newer ones? Thanks so much to anyone who has been through this and cares to share, best, tk

Yeah I've done this. I ordered the barrel, a new transfer port tube and a new gasket along with the steel breech. Works great!

Here's what I ordered:

1377-075 barrel $8.48
1322A026 transfer port tube $1.15
130-036 gasket $1.15
1377SBPK steel breech $29.99

I might suggest you get a longer barrel though and an aftermarket barrel band. Then you can put a brake on it too.

Tink I will leave the barrel length alone; It's long enough for me as is. Part #'s are a big help, thanx. Will orings and pump cup from the newer models work on my older 1377? Thanx again, tomas
