near the end of the message there is a rather small square with an icon inside. i put the mouse over the square, and 'right-clicked'. a menu appears with several selections. I left-clicked the 'view image' choice. a few moments later the image appears in the same manner as when using a 'left-click' to view a message. there is a 'yahoo! photos' heading

this may work:

if the long link will not work, try this split of the url

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/deathany/detail?.dir=6d91&.
dnm=7b7f.jpg

you may have to use a copy and paste technique to get both pieces in the browser address box

it takes a right-click on the square for me. a left-click does nothing as you say.

I see we need to run some courses on image posting!

OK what I did was view image, save the image to a drive, upload it to an image hosting service and then copy the URL from there to here. Snap!

However I appreciate all the efforts you folks made - whether it was worth it - who can tell
