Anyone seen National Geographic: Moment of Death? It's available for streaming from Netflix, and I was curious if it's any good.

Moment of death is not bad, and thanks for the recommendation. PBS did a good job on death roughly a decade ago that is worth checking out if anyone can find it.

Here is my documentary play list to date thanks to Netflix:

Business of Being Born is pretty neat and I'd say the "take responsibility for yourself" attitude of homebirth coincides nicely with the "take responsibility for yourself" attitude that I think is necessary for serious cryonics.

Out of our six children, five were born at home. :)

Our family just watched this. The first half was very, very informative and introduced a lot of concepts that help cryonics make sense. I would call it a great introduction. I was actually surprised that they didn't hint at the subject.

The last part covered near death experiences and wasn't as great but was still interesting.

Four of our little children, ages 5, 4, 3, and 3, watched with us, and some of them were quite absorbed. I have no idea what they might have learned. I just know we're a rather interesting family. :)

Some of the animated scenes of death were a bit disturbing and I probably wouldn't have let them watch if I'd known.

We got to see a beating heart during surgery. Woohoo!
