I love this yellow one. If I was 20 yrs. old this is what I would buy, but
since I'm an old fart, I think I will go with the black.
I've not decided 100% yet but we'll see.
I am still waiting for my MM and looking forward to wearing that one for a while
before I get this next G.
I just wish these were solar....oh well...would you do your own battery
change on these Thian?...or is it best left to the pros?
Some pretty pics....

caught my eye due to the Transformer movie! I had read and seen it on the WUS G forum.

Guys were saying it was huge (labelled X Large) so it kinda scared me off. In HKong it was first selling for only $150 at the time. The yellow has a shine to it as opposed to the original yellow froggie which had a dull yellow.

Some guys prefer the grey dial/black (like JakeB) since the dial is more legible (but who really uses or reads the subwindows!?).

Since I never have used the functions on my Gs, it was fine to buy the all black for its hands ...plus used at $65usd, it was great!

I don't think the yellow is too youthful or loud for you! haha! Just read the posters on WUS g forum and see how times have changed, in their color preferences now! They love all the colored versions! Years ago, they were so conservative but now the current generation loves the abundant colors!!!

On the older Gs there was a tiny spring which often popped out onto the carpet ...if you were unaware of it, when you took the back off.

On my Froggies I let my watchmaker change out the batteries cuz he would grease the gaskets and set the time for me haha! But it should be easy to do...usually you have to lift off the resin bezel first.

But looking at the GA-100 caseback, it looks like you need to only unscrew 4 corner screws. The module is 5081, and you can go to the Casio site and download the pdf manual if you want.

if I was going to have a G-Shock, it would be this one...

Why?
Because I had one in my hands, got to play with it and wear it.
I could pull this one off

Anyone want to donate one? Just kidding...I already have a couple of F-91Ws that do the trick

Still; the Giez is a special watch...

........ you are NOT a fan of "crowded" dials?
3 subdial, a lot a lines, markers, 6 hands .... sounds crowded to me... never the less, it would look nice on your wrist. Plus, you`d have a few features to play with ... and see those hands spin

just look at the dial...take a quick glance and what do yo see?

The hour and minute hands jump out at you for a very quick 'time at a glance'.

The rest is just icing on the cake

I don't generally like chronos or multi display watches but there are a few that appeal to me and the Giez is one of them

`..............>>> and this was the cheapest one

http://cgi.ebay.com/CASIO-G-SHOCK-GIEZ- ... 483e61e404

However, if you wanna spend an x-tra $40 you`ll get the metal bracelet version. And from there, the price just goes up solar and multiband. I wouldn`t, or I should say couldn`t see myself spending $500 on a Casio...
