The wife and I were browsing our fav stores this Sunday and I checked out the usual watch cabinet...a nice Omega SMP300....but didn't grab it...

Then I went to the JUNK cabinet and browsed the small box of junky stuff...nada....BUT beside the box was a single watch in clear cellophane with the tag price.....what??? This cabinet is not locked as it is the JUNK display, so I reached in and took out the watch...noticing right away was the CREDOR logo!!!!..quartz of course but ticking away...

I called the wife over to read the tag in Japanese for me....the watch and leather strap were all CREDOR, looked NOS! Only negative was the inscription on the caseback in Japanese - a 20 year gift to a Toshiba machinery employee this year 2011!!!! This model comes with the second tier movement 8J81 HEQ at +-/10secs/year accuracy. Crown has an onyx tip.

I decided to grab it.....and then the clerk went to the back and brought out the original Box and all the papers inside it!!! This is a vintage style watch, 34mm wide I think, SS case and gold dial and hands. Leather strap embossed with Credor on the inside...

No time to photograph it but here is a photo from the Japan auction of the same watch..

I hope your inheritance was substantial because you seem to be going through it like water

I'll never be able to own a Credor or be willing to spend that much on a watch but I love the style...

While not in the same league or even the same ball park, I like both for their aesthetics

Chinese/Canadian senior citizen living in Japan. Very good find. What was the price...unless you wish to keep it a secret?

the Credor I really want is a late 90s hand winder gold with dial reserve indicator and Roman numbers....one is selling for $1500.....but holding back for now...

This Seamaster champagne dial HEQ 1987 with the dual quartz oscillators rated at +-10secs/year but tested out at 5secs/year is really my pet HEQ for style and size!!!
