Wife, son and I had sushi lunch and then visited a local trendy store. I bee-lined straight to the watch section, the wife checked out earrings and our son checked out the Gundum section....

Looking at all the now inflated prices of the Gs, I was about to leave when I spied the metal G Froggie!....no digits showing indicating dead battery. I called the clerk over and she took it out and handed it to me...hmmmmmm(brand new! not a scratch!)...I asked the price as no tag was on it. She took it to her boss who went online and found it was 50,000yen new in 1999 ...roughly $550usd now...
The boss tagged it at 12,000yen or around $128usd!!!! since he could not guarrantee it would work with a battery hahaha!
Link here (just got in and no time to photograph it. Will have a new battery installed and gasket siliconed by my watchmaker....my cost? $10usd...hahaha

I'm searching for another frogman, so I'm totally immersed into the Gshocks right now.
Those metal ones are very rare, and at that price. Great find.
I can't flip my collection fast enough so I could start my frogman collection going. lol.
Can't wait for the pics.

I was prepared to write that is a very, very rare catch with all links - but I now see that was not the case

That seems to be a huge problem with all second-hand watches from JP - people have delicate wrists in that country and only for ultra-expensive models they remember to keep the extra links!

the guy had small 6 inch wrists...
I was too eager to buy it and assumed it had some extra clasp holes...the MRG bracelet can only be enlarged by links...boo! I will contact Casio soon and see about old stock links.
