Just found this X-33 Gen2 used the other day!!! All packing and 3 year warranty included...

Condition: the Titanium case, bezel and bracelet show rubbing all over but nothing outrageous for this well worn model....what to do??? comes out to $1500.00usd. I asked to handle it, put it on my wrist...one spare link comes with...the watch was a tad loose on the wrist....

Last nite a clean Gen1 on the Yahoo Japan auctions sold for $1200.00usd!  What is going on here!!!?? hahaha! You can search for months and never see the X-33s for sale...then POW! they start to show up for sale!!!!

Would you buy it as a second one for the collection??? Would I be nuts?? (mine is due ready from Omega Osaka in about 3 weeks....fixed Functions button and cracked Alarm inner case)......

but the wife is willing to accept me buying it! haha! (my, how she has changed her thinking about my watchoholic condition! hehehe!) ....of coures I told her it would be a backup...and/or for investment to flip in the future! hahaha!

She said, IF the Gen1 on the auction rises and sells for comparable (which it did at $1200usd), I should buy the Gen2!

What do you do if you buy this one then find out it too has to go out for lengthy and expensive service?

This particular model does have a checkered history of issues

Some guy even had to fix one in space so he could get home

but its all timing, and we must all make those decisions and hope not to regret. lol.
I'd get clobbered with duties/taxes. My last one that came from Japan, wiped me out.
Damn customs/duties/fess etc... #$^%$^@$@%!

But I think that astronaut was bored and wanted to show off.
He's probably a closet wis, and wanted to hold the title of first astronaut watch repairman. lol.

found in the same store I got my Landtrek is the Gen2 with box and papers and warranty card etc etc......

The ti scuffings were the reason the assessor marked the watch at only $1500usd....Japanese prize spotless watches and mark down any wearings from their pricing. I know the guy had searched the Japan internet and ballparked his assessment according to his findings......
