Well you got me looking at that manbushijie site you ordered your sterile submariner from, and I got looking at those Marina Militaires he has and now I'm kinda hankering for one.
I had a MM before, a GMT. Don't know who made it, but the quality was not bad as far as the finnishing of the case and such. The movement felt a little rough and crown action was very stiff and just overall didn't feel very good at all.
I know you haven't receieved your watch yet, but I'm wondering if you've heard anything about this seller and the quality of the watches he sells.
It's only around $100 but I'd rather not bother if it's crap.
Thanks

where several guys have ordered from this seller....Here is the initial thread on the PVD watch the guy had bought...Others in the past have bought 'cheap watches' from the seller and modded the watch haha! Again, for the price and the Chinese movement (2813), I'm not expecting anything super good. But as you say, usually the casing and bracelet are decently made by these Hong Kong companies. I have no illusions...just a whimsical buy....but if it does feel good and keeps good time, then it will have been worth the cheap price! haha! The bezel quality etc I don't really care about, nor the crappy lume! haha!

It will a 'crap shoot' getting a good one, since who knows if it will be low or high on the quality control aspect.....

I suggest you go to the WUS site and find other posts from guys who have bought from this seller and see their comments....I think one guy had bought a sub one last summer and accepted it for what it was hehehe!

wrong. I spend more on a strap, and this is just for fun anyway.
The strap I'll be putting on this one is actually almost double the cost of the watch!

..... last year ordered 2 Marina Militare; a black PVD case and **** case. They both looked awsome. I loved them but I was trimming down my collection and those were among the watches "for sale".

Here are both movements, next to each other

I enjoyed the SS the most and I`m still not at pace with myself for selling it. The black PVD was however running much more accurately: about 20 sec/week. The SS was +20sec/day and I haven`t regulated neither one. I have also wrote a review about them but the pics are missing from the review since the pics have been relocated to a different album. You can read the review here:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/642232/t ... a+Militare

The one thing I didn`t like was how stif the leather straps were but now, I see that you can get these models on a realy nice SS bracelet. For $100 you`ll not regret your choice.

Hope this helps and good luck

I don`t make things. I make things better !

IT has a Sea Gull 2530 power reserve movement.
Don't know anything about this movement, but from what I've heard from
many of you here, Sea Gull makes some decent stuff.
The sea Gull Chrono I had was (after being regulated) extremely accurate,
and felt like a top notch mvmnt as far as setting time, winding etc.
Smooth as silk.
Anyway, for $71 shipped, I won't be able to complain much.
