.... about 250 miles west of where I live up here in N. Texas. If we are talking about the same fires they are some big range fires. I've not heard about any forrest fires which would be east of us anyway. Thanks for the concern but they don'tlook like they will make it here. Besides, they need grass and prairie vegitation for fuel and all we have around here is concrete

we are far south of that area.

... 100,000 acres have burned and the fires are still burning out there. There's a lot of real estate to burn out in West Texas ( the state is BIGGER than the country of France) and if we don't get some rain soon they will just keep moving across West Texas. Wev'e only had about 2 inches of rain statewide for just this year alone. Since the end of June last year only about 10 inches or so statewide. It gets REAL DRY down here some years.
