In case you missed the announcement before the migration...
Our forum is now hosted on a new platform. If you used a Network54 username/password to log into the previous system, you already have an account here and can log in with the same info. If not, click Register above to get one.
(note, you now manage your login info and other profile info here, not on Network54)

At least initially, you can read and post messages here without logging in, but I'd recommend logging in to use the forum; you have access to more features and have more control of your posts when you are logged in.

You can also access this forum from your mobile device using the free Tapatalk app, see links at the bottom of the page.

This is cool. Thanks for doing this.

I started poking around at the far end of the DB where there are messages back to 2001. So much history there that now has a much better chance of being preserved.

Somebody was asking recently about Arlene and what was her story and it gets you thinking. Books last thousands of years but Danny erased her from his book. Newspapers last hundreds of years but who knows what ancient local papers her story might be in. Stuff on the web lasts until the server crashes or the DB software has an upgrade that corrupts the message database or the site admin moves to Alaska with all the passwords. We're getting dependent on Google to be our collective memory.

Anyway, this is great.

Well, I didn't really do much.
Tapatalk has acquired Network54 and is migrating all forums to their own platform.
Seems to have a good set of features, and I am SUPER happy they were able to import all old posts into this system.
And there's a motorcycle emoji 🏍. So there's that.

Oh, well, if you didn't really do much, then I won't feel bad asking - can we put a link in the header or someplace back to teamstrange.com like there was on the old DB ? 😉

Jolly good.
Before he did it, I'd have said it couldn't be done.
