It is in the same family as the Zeno and the Mondial.

These are modified and re-assembled with a few changes in Viareggio, and have serial numbers and scuba license numbers engraved in on the case back...this one is from 2006, for a Paneristi GTG

Yes I have the le petit prince BP, picture below .
It's an amazing watch and I think you will love it , I sure do. The lug siize on it is 22 mm and it tapers to 18mm. As for what you should get that's a tough one. I have a 372 also and it also is an amazing watch, clsssic and looks good with so many straps. I don't have a 673 or 389 , but also great watches that I'd be proud to have . I guess it's really what your preference is and what your current collection consists of . Here is the blue BP

...with that said, here are a few things to think about to guide your decision making process...but at the end of the day, what songs to you and is most practical for you?

The 372 is currently offered only in sapphire crystal (the S series)...if you are looking for a new watch, you will have to hunt a little to find a new Plexi model (presumably a R series as I think P are too hard to come by now)...the 372 is an amazing base watch and it goes with pretty much any 26/26 strap (that is not ridiculous!)... So if your preference is for a watch where you can change straps without thinking too much, this is a great PAM...

The 673 is a SE (limited to 1,000 in production) and is similar to the 372, but has pencil thin hands and "marine Militare" on the dial...there is historical significance to the writing in the dial...does that matter to you? I think the pencil thin hands make it a little more formal, fwiw...

The 389 is a great sub with ceramic bezel...if you have an eye for straps, yu can make a great combo with it...I believe this model will be retired very soon, so if you want new, now may be the time (there is also a 1389 which is thinner with an updated movement and has a blue second hand) which will be out for quite some time, as this is meant to replace the 389...

BP is awesome but limited realistic strap change options...maybe a better second watch?

Just some thoughts...

I like that IWC quite a bit!

Don't have one but I have an O&W that owes it's DNA to the big pilot style watches .... It wetted my appetite .... but in the end I went with a 663 and am pretty pleased. Maybe a IWC sometime down the road though .... they are classic.

I agree, BP is an amazing watch but not as many strap changes as a Panerai, although I do have 3 straps for it that I change out . Nowadays you can get custom straps made for any watch .
But the Panerai's you mentioned are all great watches, I love my 2 Panerai's, they are my favorites but whatever you want most I will ultimately be the watch for you .
Keep us posted on your decision and post pics of whatever you get.
