My son was there a few years back - I've been waiting for him to get back to me.
His reply was "Hemingway's bar in Havana, salsa classes, the cigar factories and clubs were wonderful. Trinidad, Santiago and the Casa de la Musicas in every town were incredible, also the mountain and horse treks".
I also seem to remember him coming back with a box or two of top-end cigars and making a huge profit selling them on, but if you're in the US, I suspect that's not possible for you.
Not uber-helpful, I suspect, but more than you've got so far in your original thread - I have to say I'm very surprised at the paucity of response to your question. I would have expected many of the people here to have visited Cuba.
Happy travels!

to be in Cuba and with the US regulations having changed last year, you can now travel directly from the US (I am flying direct from Los Angeles) now as well as bring back Cuban rum and up to 4 boxes of cigars with you in your carry on bag.

Once there you will be lured at how cheap you can buy Cohiba cigars that are supposedly sold on the black market. They are all fake! I don't smoke and I would not be able to tell if they are good quality or not. But one thing for sure is that they are not original. An easy way to spot the fakes is by the poor quality of the labels printing. You can buy real cohiba from the factory and they will cheaper than buying them in the USA, but not that cheaper.

still roll the cigars along their thighs, as legend has it? I have to confess the thought makes me go a little weak in the knee!
