Looks like "california" is engraved inside the crystal at the top, and something else at the bottom, but can't read it.

Do you know the story about "L swiss L" I thought it had been replaced by "L swiss made L" because that later had a legal meaning about the watch being made in Switzerland...

The internal dimentions must be different than the 249. I wonder if it's externally bigger.
