The single bridge plate covers up so much of the watch that you mind as well have a solid case back. I guess it costs too much to finish movements, the old ETA movements looks more refined.
If this is what the spectacular "In house" movements are going to look like give me back ETA movements now. For the price they charge for their watches a Panerai 233 should have a movement cut out like the 395 where it is something you would actually want to look at.
