I was summoned by Hong Sir last week to post my Desert Island Dream (aka DID). Of course I said yes! How fun! Thanks HongT for picking me!!

I realise that I am the first woman and Singaporean to post a DID here. So if you ever wondered what a woman would bring with her if she's marooned on a deserted island, I hope this post will provide some insights

The rules: washed ashore with the following items:

2 watches
2 songs
1 book
1 movie
1 photograph
1 memory
1 meal
1 person

Rules for responders: Just post your name underneath. Prepare your script. Do not post it. I will pick someone to post on the following Monday.

Here's HongT's post (link to Mads' post before his is inside):

Pauline's Desert Island Dream

Here we go!

I was shopping at Orchard Road one fine Sunday morning when it started to storm.

In fact, it rained so heavily that the shop was flooded! I had to let go of the blue-jeans Birkin I had my clutches on!

God only knows I can't swim in my 4-inch heels. I was washed out of the shop by the flood into the storm drains. When I came to, I found myself on a deserted unnamed beach on this really strange man-made island...

The beaches were deserted because everyone's at the casino on the island!! Good thing there's great shopping to be had here. I dusted my UOB Ladies' Platinium Credit Card off and walked straight into this shop a few feet away from the beach...

Hey, wait! I forgot I had a few keepsakes with me on this island shopping trip!

2 watches: 1 for each wrist, GTG style!

My 232, because it such a fashion statement...

My 14060M, because its a gift from my significant other and Im wearing it as my daily beater now (please dont stone me, Im still a Paneristi at heart!)

2 songs:

Fascination by La Roux, because I'm always listening to La Roux on my iPod when I'm out shopping...

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=""></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Le Disko by Shiny Toy Guns, also on my iPod and played very often...

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=""></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

1 book: The Missing Piece Meets the Big O by Shel Silverstein. This book is always in my bag, and I hope to meet my Big O soon

One Movie: Love Actually, because I'm a die-hard romantic...

One photograph: this awesome GTG picture!

1 memory: my first ever post at Paneristi, 17 September 2009. I was contacted by the local Ristis after that post and the rest is history!

http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/t ... PAM---+can't+ask+for+more+-)

The picture in that post: birthday flowers and my first PAM, the 310.

Well, the SG Ristis crew asked me out to my very first GTG...

http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/t ... asi+Padang!

I was such I noob, I didn't know the models of any of the watches there! I even said I will never buy a 232! Terence shoved the watch under my nose and said, "Now how's that for Panerai DNA?". Well, I bought one a couple of months later!

Anyway, on the the rest of the DID!

One meal: Steak dinner at Morton's. Hands down best steak in Singapore!

One person: I don't usually date vampires, but this guy is too cool. Please may I have him? It is my dream after all

I realise that the DID is indeed designed by men! You CANNOT survive a desert island without these bare essentials:

SKII, your most comfy pair of Louboutins, your sloppiest Birkin, your biggest pair of Raybans, a vente Americano and Max Møller on your arm!

Thanks for looking, Friends! Hope you enjoyed my D.I.D.!

http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/t ...

1 memory: my first ever post at Paneristi, 17 September 2009. I was contacted by the local Ristis after that post and the rest is history!

I love it Pauline

1 book: The Missing Piece Meets the Big O by Shel Silverstein. This book is always in my bag, and I hope to meet my Big O soon

One Movie: Love Actually, because I'm a die-hard romantic...
