I remember seeing that ad in Thrasher in the mid-80s. I never tried Z-Roller trucks though, I stuck with Indy's.

When I was a kid in the early 80s in Japan, Jeff Hartsel lived in my neighborhood and I used to watch him all the time, this was long before he got sponsored by Alva.

I also never tried Z Rollers but remember the ad's in the mid 90s when Rocky Oyola skated for them. I started skating in 1994.

I was just sharing with Brent that despite looking like a veteran jock these days, I was a skinny skater in my youth...he didn't believe me.

I applaud ya for still skating at 41 bud! Just hit 40 myself and while I still can play on the bikes, not sure I could still shred on a deck.

Ps. Tracker Trucks Though these days I'd need gullwings given I'm not longer 180 lbs.

Tracker Trucks with Indy Bases, those nylon bases couldn't handle me, but the hybrid Track/Indy combo worked well.
