Crushed...CD11 numbers

After what looked like almost pos OPK on Monday, ran to get b/w. Got the results today.

E2: 11
FSH: 50

So, the OPK just means that I have lots of LH hanging around but it's not surging because of no follies. Still don't have CD3 numbers; different lab (still Quest, diff location). Obviously anovulatory cycle.

So upset. I guess the return of my hot flashes was real.

I am so sorry.

Hang in there, maybe something was learned from this cycle? Did you do any meds that could have pushed it up?

Again, I am so sorry, it's so frustrating!

Hugs to you,
Sara H

Yeah, with the high FSH your LH is probably high too which is throwing off the OPK's. The same thing happens to me- very frustrating!. Did you say who your RE is? Is he/she high FSH friendly and will they do anything about your FSH? I'm sorry if you've said this before- I can't remember anything these days:(

I haven't seen an actual fertility specialist yet. I'm still seeing a regular Endocrinologist as long as possible until he comes up with a true diagnosis so that my insurance isn't coded as "infertility treatment" until I actually pursue it. My OB diagnosed me as POF from one lab result which couldn't really mean anything since AF hadn't come in 2.5 months. My Endo seems scientific enough to give me a real diagnosis; this was the first cycle he's monitored with b/w, even though I've ovulated the past 2...go figure.

Haven't been on the boards for a few weeks - just reading and catching up on things now, so you may have already done something this month, but just in case -

I had similar numbers last month at day 3 - RE decided to wait and see what my body would do on it's own; went back in on CD9 - and it hadn't changed - low E2, high FSH; my doc prescribed estinyl, so I took that for a week; went back day 16 and had two follies, E2 had risen to 104, and FSH was down.

If this happens again, maybe ask your doc about estinyl to bring down the fsh?

I'm not seeing an RE, just a regular endocrinologist b/c this is the first round of cycle-specific b/w he's ordered. But it's nice to know a few things to ask about, since I'm tired of just "waiting and seeing."
