Now I am thinking I want to play all of my old games on scummvm so I tried loading Woodruff and the Schnibble on it but it didn't work. Any thoughts on how to get it to run?

Linda,

This was the first time I've used ScummVM. You played 3 Skulls with the CD. It would not play from the CD for me, so I had to set up a folder for the game and copy the folders from my CD that ScummVM's wsbsite recommended. Gameboomers told me that often people would have difficulty playing games directly from CDs. Maybe this is your problem.

Good Luck!

I tried loading The Gene Machine using that method and I can't get that to work using scummvm. I was hoping that this scumm engine would help me play all of my old games.

Game details in DosBox.

Gene Machine - VIC TOKAI (1996)
Tested By: Steve14

runnable - playable - supported
90% (supported)
DOSBox version: 0.63 (supported)

Saving / loading problem (2012-06-16 20:17) TrustSeg

Works great in DOSBox 0.74. Saving / loading will not work with default DOSBox configuration - you have to set cpu cycles from "auto" (defaul value) to "25000". I realized that after I completed ca. 70% of the game...

Note: (2006-02-27 11:08) Steve14

It works great with sound and music.

The only new games with the same appeal are The Book of Unwritten Tales games. I too have trouble with DosBox.

Right now we are trying to finish Bud Tucker in Double Trouble on ScummVM. Having trouble at the very end of the game.

Have Fun!

Bud Tucker is Fun and a bit corny. Did you ever get a copy of Touche' The Adventures of the Fifth Musketeer. You would love it.
