BETHLEHEM, Georgia (AP) -- A 911 call with no one on the line led authorities to the stabbed bodies of two children and their beaten but alive grandfather, and authorities were searching for the children's mother Thursday.
Felicia Williams, 26, was wanted for aggravated assault on her father, Barrow County sheriff's Maj. Murray Kogod said. She had been at the home 40 miles northeast of Atlanta and could have information on Wednesday's stabbings, he said.
Kogod identified the slain children as Elexis Nicole Hill, 9, and her 4-year-old brother, James Ross Hill.
Williams' father, found beaten in the home, was identified as Charles Barn by the children's paternal grandfather, Willie Hill.
"It's devastating for my wife and me," Willie Hill said. He said his son separated from Williams about three years ago.
County dispatchers received a 911 call Wednesday, and although no one was on the other end of the line, the connection remained open and the dispatcher heard a person in the background saying someone was bleeding, Kogod said.
The two children were pronounced dead at the scene, and their grandfather was treated but declined transport to a hospital, Kogod said.
Relatives said they were stunned.
