that can help take a homogenous lining put it into a TL pattern?????

This is the third time this is happening since I have tried to start a new cycle ... my lining is good & thick BUT cannot get out of a homogenous pattern! it is soooooo frustrating!!! been on 14 days of estrace lining is 13.5 thick but homogenous just like it was at my baseling u/s...

WHAT THE HECK is going on!!! had all the testing done and everything coming out normal!! high risk obgyn did say he felt I was pre-menopausal (sp.?) Hope RE doesn't cancel me AGAIN!! that means more provera waiting & waiting for AF to show again...

Hope I don't have a polyp that saline-sono didn't show and now I need a hysterscopy that happen to me one time before!

Waiting for RE office to call...I am Truly ready to give UP cannot take it anymore wish I could afford a Surro.

Sorry I am such a downer!!

The triple line pattern occurs in response to estrogen. My guess is that the estrace you are taking is not being absorbed well and you should try a different route of administration. Try delestrogen injections, or try putting your estradiol tabs in your vagina (instead of your mouth)! Obviously ask your doctor about this first. I found that I had better absorption and better uterine response with vaginally administered estradiol or with delestrogen.

Secondly, you might try Viagra suppositories that are compounded for this purpose (in other words don't take your husband's viagra pill!) The viagra suppositories need to be put in vaginally. I always got a triple line when I used viagra. Viagra increases blood flow to the uterus by causing dilation of the microvasculature. Some docs will pooh pooh Viagra for infertility patients. Just insist. Usually they give in. You can email Dr. Sher to ask him about the dosage strength and the protocol. I think (but don't quote me as it's been a long time) that mine were compounded to contain 25mg and I inserted them every 6 hours.

Very thick lining 16mm but HH pattern not TL. The thick lining growth like yours is the result of the estrogen, so you are absorbing it. She swore she could get a TL using delestrogen injections instead of estrace (she had estrace orally and vaginally) but the RE benched her and cancelled the transfer, lining was too thick to add more meds and estrogen too high already to change meds, had to start over. Pregnancy is possible with the HH pattern but I'm sure you have read the same studies I have, reduced pregnancy rates. I guess you could ask the RE to transfer to an HH lining anyway but I hate to recommend that.

I disagree with your OB that it is a menopausal thing, the person this happened to was 27 and nowhere near menopause, she was a surrogate.

If this cycle cannot be salvaged, I would try another using different meds. Don't give up. It might be the estrace.

For several cycles I couldn't get a TL pattern through the vaginal u/s despite a nice thick lining. This was with different REs and techs doing the measurements, so it wasn't just one person. But once they switched to an abdominal scan there it was, a beautiful TL, clear as day! So whenever a doctor mentions concern about lack of the TL, I ask them to try an abdominal scan.

I think I must have had a weird angle on my uterus, although none of the docs ever mentioned anything about a tricky angle when doing measurements.

I ALWAYS through many, many monitored cycles had a nice luffy trilaminar lining. Until the last one, which I used Vivelle patches for. It was 12 mm but not trilaminar. And succeeded. So I don't have an answer for you but do fwiw have an anecdotal example of a successful homogeneous lining cycle.

she said to continue with 2mg estrace orally 4 times daily But add 2mg estrace vaginally morning & bedtime repeat u/s & b/w in three days.

Lets Hope this does the trick...If lining was 13mm today what the heck is it going to be in three days!

Please send a few Good Luck wishes my way!

Thanks again for all the advice & support!!

What would I do without you wonderful Ladies...(((hugs)))
