I went for my 6w ultrasound. We were so excited.till we found out we are having triplets. We had a strong feeling it was twins and were excited for that.Well today we were informed that there were three. We transferred 2 embryos and one split. They said that this rarely happens. I/We are in shock. I know there are lots of risks. Does anyone have information about this? I feel so heartbroken. We have gone through so much to get here and now this. I dont know what to think.

I am sure the shock is overwhelming. My advice is one day at a time. Your feelings are normal and do not feel bad about them. A friend of mine had the same exact thing happen to her with DE and she is now 28 weeks.

She was very apprehensive, had so many misgivings, afraid she'd have to consider options she wasn't ready for and then there was the cost of multiples.

Get yourself a good high risk doctor who will follow you closely. Follow diet closely and do whatever it takes.

Good luck and blessings

And get the best high risk specialist.

I'm sure it's a shock, but with a high risk doc you should be fine. Congratulations and I wish you and your little ones all the best. Also, consider coming over to the pink board (PG after DE). You'll find plenty of support there, with lots of women who have had multiples.

Hi ya,
I was thinking you should put this post on the pink board only because there are several ladies there who have had this happen and they can help you with how you are thinking and what you might like to do.
Right now take one day at a time, get some information and take things from there, thinking of you honey, best, THK

I know you must be very afraid, but only a high risk OB/GYN can help you decide whether your triplet pregnancy is viable as a triplet pregnancy. Take it one day at a time is good advice. {{Hugs}} Maggie (in VA)

She has 3 boys. As far as I know, they are all healthy.

I can well imagine how scary this is for you. I agree that you need to get yourself I high-risk OB GYN as soon as possible.

I also agree that this post would be best on the other board. More women who may have experience in this will see it there.

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Along with coming over to the pink, I would also post on the New Pregnant with high FSH board. I know there is a woman over there that has triplets -- I think they are about a year old now. I am sure she can help you get your head around this.
