Are you getting any symptoms of labor yet? Nothing for me. I'm only dilated like half a centimeter and cervix is still high. My OB said at least another week or two I was hoping one week. No cramping, no braxton hicks. Awww well.....I guess that is good. Just getting excited to meet the little guy.

I have been having BH for months and now lower abdominal pressure. So when I went to the doctor, I was thinking, "Oh things are getting underway." Welllllllll, not so much! My cervix is still high and hard and I have not dilated one bit. Hmmmmm....

My doctor told me that since our ds was born on his due date, that the likelihood of preterm labor would be lower than 1/2 a percent (I guess they consider preterm anything prior to 39 weeks).

My big thing now is my swollen legs and feet. Oh my goodness! They are so swollen, they are prickly. I did not have this with the little guy so I just don't know. My blood pressure is low normal (which it always is) so the doctor is not concerned at all. He also pushed on my legs to make sure they were responding as they should, and he said everything was good, so I guess it's just a major discomfort. And putting them up has done nothing.

You seem to be cruising along, which is great. How are you feeling in general? Also how does this time around compare with the pregnancy of your daughter? I know you had been concerned about measuring small. How has that shaped up?

Lastly, I just need an energy boost, and all will be well...So we wait...

Still haven't heard from bbhoover. I hope all is well with her.

It's an exciting time. I am just so ready for the next several weeks to fly by (although I have so little done in anticipation of the baby...I am just trying to keep my head above water and my eyes open keeping up with our 3 year old ds).

We'll let you ladies know when things get underway.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Everything here has been so hectic trying to get caught up with work, that I hardly have a chance to keep up with the boards. So I totally lost count at how close you ladies are getting to meeting your LOs. I can't wait to hear the birth stories and meet the new additions to our cyber family.

Since you have been having all these braxton hicks I keep thinking you will have your baby sooner. But then again, maybe they don't really mean anything at all. It sounds like we are in the same spot with our doctor's saying.....uhhh don't expect a baby this next week.

I don't have any water retention really. My feet, hands and face are just a little puffy. Are you drinking tons of water? Maybe try some grapefruit juice as it is supposed to be a natural diuretic. I try to avoid salt as much as possible. It might just be your body this time around. It does not sound comfortable at all. I think as soon as you have your baby the extra water will pretty quickly go away over the first few weeks. Since you are chasing a three year old around I bet that has a lot to do with your water retention. When I get home from work I lay down as much as possible on my left side. I think that really helps keep the water retention away.

I'm still measuring just a little small now but the doctors are not worried about it at all. No ultrasound for me. But I feel really big. I swear I have a bigger tummy this time than I did with DD. She was born at 7 lbs. at 38 weeks. So I'm curious what this little guy will weigh. My doctor laughed and said well even if we told you he was going to be two pounds bigger there is nothing you could do about it anyways. And she said moms always feel bigger with each baby. My doctor is a sweetie and pretty much just laughs about everything.

And he kicks a lot too, squirms around and moves his head around sometimes which is not exactly comfortable. The kicking is just fine but the head moving feels weird.

Well I've heard every pregnancy is different. This time around I'm suffering all the usual digestion issues that pregnant ladies have that somehow I managed to escape when I was pregnant with DD. As far as real medical issues, I have been just fine so far.

I have not seen Bbhoover on the board in a long time now either. Maybe she will pop on and post when she has her little one.

Well it could be any day now for either one of us! It's all a big surprise really.

Yes the time is getting close. You still have a little ways to go but it will creep up on you too! Just continue trying to stay caught up on your work for now. When your little one is here you will be busy busy busy.

Although interestingly enough I have not gained as much weight with this baby as with our ds. But because of the fertility drugs, I started out the cycle weighing more than I weighed with our ds (who I had before IF issues came about).

So you're having some digestion issues. Yeah, I think those are pretty common, but you didn't have them the 1st time around (me either). I do find that I have shallow breathing at times because little lady is still up high. But it's nothing too crazy.

Yeah, I guess we are both just waiting it out. When's your next OB appt? Mine is on Monday. Just wondering if there would have been any progression? Oh well, we'll find out soon enough.

I want our LO to stay put until it's time for her to come, I am just excited about meeting her (and want her big brother to meet her too) so I want the time to zoom on by.

I also look forward to being on the other side of our labor and delivery story. I do feel like I have a high tolerance for pain, but I am trying for a vbac, and I just want to get through that with success. But if for some reason that doesn't happen, I just want the baby to come out safe and healthy, no matter what the means.

I am so excited for you though, because your baby is really coming along too. I have been looking for you to make a ticker so that we can keep up with exactly where your LO is in development (as you have said, it's so hard to keep up). You seem much like me, because it took me forever to make a ticker too .
