Any Men Out There?

Any Men Out There?

Hi - I am married to one of the most courageous and bravest souls I know. She is so in love with the idea of bringing a baby into our life, my love for her grows leaps and bounds just thinking about it. Besides that, any person who could go through what my wife has experienced in the last year and a half and remain focused on the idea, deserves the Medal of Honor!

Now, to the subject of this post, are there any men who have been right there by their wifes side out there?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you!

My DH doesn't post but because I tell him all the news he 'knows' several of the ladies on the board.

But please be forewarned. We talk about periods and lack of sex drive, etc. on here.

JD has this board and the green board saved on his favorites. I will ask him to pop on today Jay and send you a message. He has been my rock, with me every step of the way. With 7 years of trying he has only missed 2 appointments, and now that we've found success he's been at every u/s (holding my toes) and every OB appointment. It really takes a strong couple to make it through this journey together.

All my best to you!

you ladies are lucky...I wish I had support. I feel very alone in this process. I am thankful for this board it is the only place I can go.

I'm glad you can come here, at least. This board was my rock, too, during some hard times. And my DH wasn't always supportive. We had our moments.

Wishing you luck.

my DH and I are very close but he has just seems to detach from this a lot. I don't know whether you are single or married but I think so much of it is happening with our bodies even a devoted partner may not be very invested in the whole process.

And also you can't really tell people.

It's incredibly difficult for that reason. It's like I am living this secret life sometimes.

If you ever want to discuss anything over email my email

that I have problems and am considering DE - not that I download my every last detail but I don't hide it either. If they have a problem with it, then it's just that...THEY have a problem with it. They can go and discuss it/gossipe behind my back if they wish. But I'm not going to give anyone the satisfaction of guilting me into shame or fear or whatever.

...I can relate to feeling "alone" in the process, except for the wonderful support of board buddies here, and on an SMC site I frequent. For those who have supportive husbands, I think that's a wonderful thing to have! Either way, we get through it, and have our beautiful children to show for it, if we're lucky.
