Pioneer Cabin report 12/16/17

Hiked up to Pioneer Cabin today. Trail is compact snow/ice until reaching timberline, easy in microspikes. From then on it is posthole city up to the cabin. Snowshoes highly recommended. I didn't bring snowshoes and it was pretty tiring, but great views of the Pioneers and solitude made up for it.

Fantastic photos! Looks like you had great conditions (other than the postholing).

Awesome pictures! Good motivation to to get out. Wondering how much longer these conditions will last.
