It seems like this summer is never going to end. But I was looking back and this is from August 29 last year. Anybody else ready for snow?

Not ready yet. it seems as if its been way to short of a summer. I was looking over some notes from my scramble up Mt. Idaho last October and comenting on how strange it was to be in the lost river range that time of year and to have it be 80 degrees. hopefully it will be the same this year.

Have you guys lost your minds, Splattski and Luddite?

Talking about ski season when it just ended a couple weeks ago?

During the best time of the year for enjoying warm weather activities?

Before I even start thinking about skiing, I want 2 more months of:

Buggy sunsets

Smoky sunsets

Flowers

And fishin'

Get back to me in late October with the snow pics!

Jim

Well, with Ralph it's turns. And I enjoy those turns.
But for me, I especially love the early fall when the first snow falls. Cold mornings and down vests. Short days with a low sun. Love it.

We are just got rid of most of last year's snow! The summer has been way to short for me and I still have so many things on my list that I want to do.

Yes, I do love the turns! But, the cooler temps make for highly enjoyable climbing.

Ahhh... clipping bolts on slabby limestone.

Clipping bolts on steep limestone.

Beautiful granite.

Granite you wished would never end.

Splitter granite cracks.

and the occasional fly fishing diversion.
