By now some of you will have had the first issue of Herbal Delights, the Herb Societys new electronic newsletter which went out for the first time last month, Id appreciate feedback from those that got it please Herbal Delights is a monthly mix of Society news and information and herbal news, with the odd recipe and herbal tip thrown in, and is exclusively for members of the Herb Society.

For those that dont know, the title Herbal Delights is taken from the title of one of Hilda Leyels herb books of the same name first published in 1937. Mrs Leyel was the founder of the Society of Herbalists, which later became the Herb Society, she also was the lady who opened the Culpeper chain of shops that are still going strong today, although they are no longer a part of the Herb Society, but they do still offer our members a discount on purchase in their shops and via their online shop.

If youre not currently getting this members only newsletter, its because you haven't requested to be on the list and sent us your current email address. So if youd like an issue of Herbal Delights dropped in to your mail inbox every month, we need your current email address. Send it to me via the web contact form in the Members Area or drop me an email so I can add you to the list.

If you have a piece of news about an up and coming herbal event near you, or would like to share a herbal recipe or tip with others, please send it in for inclusion. The newsletter goes out towards the end of the month so dates and news need to be for the following month. The next issue will go out later this week, so if you didn't get the January issue and would like to start getting the newsletter now, its not too late to sign up.

Glad you like it Erica, I've had some lovely emails from people, when you put so much of your own time into something it makes all the difference knowing that people are reading it

I've already begun work on the March issue, if anyone has any suggestions or things they'd like to include, please get in touch.

Thank you Debs for all your hard work. I really enjoyed the Jan Herbal Delights, and I am looking forward to receiving the Feb one. Being far away in South Africa the newsletter helps keep me in touch. There always seem to be so many interesting things happening in UK.

Hi Jeanne

Thanks for your kind comments. I think Flick must have sent the Jan issue to you as a forward because you weren't on the email list when the Feb issue went out at the weekend. That's been amended and I've just sent you the February issue, so you'll be able to read it soon and you'll receive subsequent issues of Herbal Delights.

Thanks, Debs. I received the Feb issue, as well as getting the new issue of "Herbs" in the post so am having a feast of herbal reading at present, lovely for a hot Sunday afternoon.
