Hi
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who knew if there were any new books by Haruki Murakami due say next year. I realise this is perhaps unreasonable as Kafka on the Shore came out in 2004.
Incidentally, I live in England.

Wildsheep at the Dolphin Hotel informed us short story collection "Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman" will be published in UK next year. The stories included are:

Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman
The Birthday Girl
New York Mining Disaster
Airplane
Mirror
The Folklore Of Our Times
Hunting Knife
Perfect Day For A Kangaroo
Dabchick
Man Eating Cats
The Poor Aunt Story
Nausea
The Seventh Man
The Girl From Ipanema
In The Year Of Spaghetti
Tony Takitani
Sharpies
Ice Man
Crab
Firefly
The Kidney-Shaped Stone That Moves Every Day
Hanalei Bay
A Chance Traveler
Where I'm Likely To Find It
A Shinagawa Monkey

The last five stories are from his latest short story book "Tokyo Kitan-shu". They are very good. I like them all. Of course other stories in this book are also good and worth to read. The Amazon UK already set a pre-order.

If memory serves, Rubin says that "After Dark" will be published in 2007.

I think I heard that After Dark would be coming out in 2010. Let's hope you're right and I'm wrong.

I don't know where that error popped up at. I asked Rubin about that personally and he said 2007, I think, is the date. He's finishing up a collection of stories by Atakugawa and after he will turn his attention to "After Dark."
