Well doing a jeep dj 5 and the shift balls fell out of the valve body and cannot find anybody that has a diagram of their placement. This is not the regular valve body it is in a postal jeep and the only one that knew how they went together has passed away. could use some help on this one. just trying to help a friend and its really becomming a chore/ thanks Mark

If it has an electric kickdown it isn't an FMX.

I am told by the builder The same guy that has been building transmissions since 1968 that it is and only used by the USPS in the mid 70's So i need to trust his knowledge of the trans.I am going to try to get a picture from him but he is truly computer illiterate. It is a fmx it is stamped with a ford casting number i can at least get that number tomorrow, thanks for your reply Mark

This unit is a borg warner 12. if it has electric kickdown. Looks like an fmx.Ford did use some of these units when they couldn't make enough fmx units. American motors used these units quite a bit.
