Are they forcing us to declare this day something? It's Grilled Tuna day for me.

Our oldest turned 30 yesterday. And guess what his favorite pie is? You got it. But he didn't. Usually I make him a cherry-apple pie during the summer when fresh cherries are in season.

Sadly, when we tried to call our favorite Mexican restaurant for take-out, the phone went unanswered so we decided to try a new Chinese place. Much to my delight, they had mu shu on the menu which is unusual for small Chinese places here. This was what appeared to be a husband and wife operation and it was excellent. Food was very fresh and you could watch it being prepared as the kitchen was just behind the counter.

I trixied past the now defunct Mexican place on the way home and it was shuttered tight. Now the great hunt for another cheap Mexican joint begins.

I like Chevy's but I don't think that is authentic Messican.

but I doubt you want to do Messican in Virginia! Just seems wrong to me...

Can't wait to see you and Sweetie!!

Have you been to that place on St. Charles whose name I can neither pronounce nor spell? I heard that was authentic Messican. Never got there, though.

Fried and baked. I always get the baked. Today I had some collard greens with it.

Yesterday they had Indian as the "theme" cuisine. It was delicious, but judging by the lack of people on that line, they won't be doing it often. Sigh.
