Well, it doesn't look like Dorignac's or Martin Wine Cellar are going to stock Blenheim's Ginger Ale anytime soon, so I'm hunting around for a source to have it shipped from. This one place http://www.beveragesdirect.com/products/blenheim/ ships for about $2 buck a bottle (24 bottle case) and the price includes shipping. I'm going to call the factory and see if they can ship for less.

In the meantime I'll content myself with Vernor's and a stick of lemon grass for a swizzler.

I'll console myself with ginger beer. I saw a couple of different ginger beers at World Bazaar today.

Ask Dan Stein if he will bring in the Blenheim's.
He just might. Whatta guy!

Another thought is to ask Chris over at Bacchanal.
I haven't been lately, just once since Chef Pete left.
Anybody been? Occasionally I'd snag a Blenheim over there, but he couldn't keep them around. I asked him to please keep them in stock.

Another thing that Chris & I discussed was Reed's Ginger Brew. He concurred with me that they were his favorite.
At one time Dorignac's carried Reed's. Eve's Market (R.I.P.) had 'em and Whole Foods still does carry them.

The World Market in Harvey has Reed's in the cooler by the register. Get one of those "make ya own" six pack carriers and fill it up with Reed's! They only sell singles, altho I have requested the 4 pack. In the back by the beer, along the back wall, they have an Australian brew that is pretty darn good, Bundaberg.
Look for the Kangaroo.

Do not make the mistake of buying GUS Ginger Ale.
While some may like it, it is definitely not what you are looking for. Weak & mild, with a wisp of ginger.

Your mom & pop health food stores may carry Reed's or other Ginger Brews. I think I've tried them all.

What happened with Dorignac's & Martin's?
Are they just moving slow or what?

Gingerly,

Isabella

Bunch of good suggestions there! I don't know what's up with Dorignac's or Martin. Butch didn't look too interested when I asked him. I know Dan from his Martin days and I've been meaning to go get a sammich at his new place. I'll hit him up for some Blenheim's when I do.

Whatever happened to Claudia and Linda? I passed the old Eve's Market today on the way to work and wondered about them.

at the Greek Fest last year.

She was still pretty much at loose ends & not exactly knowing what was next for her. I can imagine Daniel's murder, then Katrina just about turned it all upside down for her. Keep her in your prayers, Cop Cop.

Not sure what's up with Linda, altho IIRC, I did see her post K. She was also just hanging out & trying to figure out what's next.

If you do follow up with any of those stores, lemme know & I'll do a backup request of the same products.
Sometimes more than one customer asking for the same product woiks!

BTW, while I do like Bundaberg, it's not like Bleinhem's. It's different. It grows on you tho!

Take a look at this!

In a nutshell, you can order by the case directly from Bleinheim and Restoration Hardware in Seattle carried it. Maybe our Lakeside store has it. A friend of mine is the mgr there, I'll axe him.
