I recently installed a new camshaft (.484in .510ex dur 270in 280ex lobe cen 112), new timing chain and gears, and a new edlebrock performer intake. The truck runs fine, the problem is I lost all my power. The question is could the timing gears be a retarded set up, causing my loss of power, or is it something else? If the gears are retarded how can I tell?

......with the motor installed. You might want to check w. a degree wheel though. Your cam looks like a Crane or Crower from what I remember.
If your truck has its' stock compression, which is about 8.2 :1 I think, then this cam definitally hurts your low end torque and probably the whole power curve.
Try a small cam such as the comp cam 252 or 260 grinds. Those will give you some reasonable torque.
Good luck
