Linnets v Town.
Old Town v New Town
Runcornians v Plastic Scousers.

Wonder if it will soon go down as one of footballs great rivalries?

Not really classed as a Runcorn team!!

Everybody who used to go and watch Runcorn FC play now watch the Linnets!

Changing their name to Runcorn Town doesn't make them the town's premier side, that is Runcorn Linnets and the crowds back that up!

I dont think everybody who watched Runcorn FC now go and watch Linnets.
Quite a few ex Runcorn Fans can be found at Runcorn Town, as representation on the Town board will tell you. There are a lot on Runcorn Towns board who have seen more Runcorn FC games than Tony Waddingon, Hedley Edwards and Ste Pritchard combined.

I bet a large number of current Linnets fans never went to more than 20 games at Canal Street.

The sad thing is, if those people involved in both Linnets and Town would have put as much effort into helping Runcorn FC, as they have done the 2 respective clubs, then Runcorn FC would still be here today.

just looking at towns points for the season so far. How come they have 3 points if they have won their 1st two games. I assume they played a ringer and had points deducted. If thats true imagine the stick the linnets would get if it was the other way around.
