We are still 14th but only on goal difference mind.Burscough next Wednesday is a massive game for us.In the meantime Gainsborough have 2 games before then.Against Wakefield on Saturday and Worksop on Monday. If they could lose 3 points out of the possible 6.Things would look great. Also we need Whitby to lose some points. They are 1 point behind us now, although we do have a game in hand.On Saturday they play Frickley, which they should win,and on Monday they've got Spennymoor, which will be close.C'mon the Corn

What was tonights game like, who had the better chances and who were the better team. Any decent or soft goals. I think things will be alot clearer at 10pm on Wednsday after we have played Burscough. Gainsboro and Whitby both play twice between now and then and thier results are massive for us. It truly is make or break time although I am still confident as we are on a decent run at this crucial time. And at the end of the day, we have the game in hand so its in our hands anyway.

Last night it was reasonably even. For the first 15 minutes, you could tell that they deserved to be 3rd going into the game. They played very good football and were rewarded for it after 16 minutes when their number 10 headed it home from a cross. They shouldn't of had the chance though, because it should've been our throw in,but the ref gave it to the wrong team, and that's how they got the cross in.Then we got an equaliser when their player did the most blatent handball ever and Lee Kissock slotted it home from the penalty spot. Then in the 2nd half 1 of their players fell over the ball, and to the shock of all of the fans, they got a free-kick from it.Which was put into the box and headed home with 5 minutes left. Then we should've had another penalty from another hand ball which diverted Ged Courtney's shot off the line. While everyone was standing around moaning we played on and the ball was whipped in towards Lightfoot, who's header lobbed their kepper and hit the back of the net with 3 minutes left.We were very unlucky not to come away with 3 points. Now the pressure is on and we will have to pick up as many points as possible.
