Bix Beiderbecke's composition Davenport Blues was recorded by Red and Miff Stompers on February 2, 1927.  Four takes were recorded,  Victor matrix BVE-37769. Takes 1 and 4 were destroyed. Take 2 was mastered and issued on Vic 20778. Note the spelling of Bix's last name.

Take 3 was held and eventually issued on Jazz Archives Recordings (JA-21 LP).

Take 2 was also issued as Vic 0113. This was in the Pict-Ur-Music series with Moten Stomp by Bennie Moten's Kansas City Orchestra on the flipside.  Fascinating information about the Pict-Ur-Music series is found in

I could not find an image of the record label of Vic 0113. Here is  another label as an informative example.

I also found this image of a record label of Davenport Blues by Red and Miff Stompers.

Can anyone explain what is a "Special Record" from the Victor company?

'Special Record' looks like a sticker placed over the original. Maybe a store label?

Slightly tilted in the same manner. I wonder if the same person attached both of them?
