I have had several scopes on this rifle but this one has to be my favorite. Old-school steel Weaver J4, steel Tip-Off mount, gun still weighs just under 5 1/2 lbs. Do they not look made for each other?

I like seeing vintage scopes on vintage guns. Just seems right to me. How many shots do you get out of that gun? I think I would like to find a Sears 180 after seeing yours. Thanks for sharing.

13.4 JSB around 500 fps. This is on the low power setting. 70+ shots full power, JSB 18.1 @ 570. Crazy accurate.

Everyone goes nuts for the model 160, for good reasons, but I've heard more good results with the model 180. Having a Sears (always slightly better than standard) late version has to be one of the best. Having that variable power does more than the fancy loading 160. Great, under appreciated, gun.

160s, not so much. Variable power very practical, lots of lower speed, quieter shooting. I shoot at low power most of the time. Even when pesting I shoot on low, always practiced up and know exactly where the shot is going.

This barrel is one I got from Numrich to replace the original, Crosman marked barrel. Scope grooves.
