Well Axtell friends I finally got our household paid back from the money I borrowed from our kitty to fund my last purchases of Axtell Expressions.

I won a very expensive Radio Controled Plane on a Raffle yesterday. I turned around and sold it before I even placed my hands on it (Some were angry with me, they said they would have offered me more. Oh well.)

I took part of the money and paid us back for the raffle tickets we purchased, then a chunk of the money went back into our kitty to pay us back, then I put the rest in my piggy bank for my Puppet Ministry.

Now, this is where your help will come in.

I am going to start seriously looking for my next puppet or puppets. So if you want to plug your favorite or favorites to help me choose go for it.

I do have several puppets already, and most of you know what puppets I own.

But just for the fun of it, and for the newbies that have joined us. Plug away. It may help them in there next choice as well.

Also, if any newbies see a puppet or puppets that pop off the web site at you that caught your interest, please share with us. We like to know why one rules over the other. We all are so different but the same. Which I think is really cool.

The ideas and dreams of others that bounce around on the threads are just priceless.

I am anxiously waiting on the replies to scroll down the page.

My top 3, if I was in your shoes:

Big Bear
Bongo Gorilla
Fred Chicken

I own all three, you don't (that I know of), and all three are the cream of the crop when it comes to entertaining kids.

I don't think you've got an Axtell bird yet. You should consider adding one of the birds to you family. With the addition of the Bird Arm Illusion, it opens you to new performance possibilites. For instance, this character wouldn't need to be performed on a stand of any sort. You could use a larger performance area, get closer to different sections of your audience, be seen from all sides. There are so many birds, different personalities, bodies, feathers and beaks.

Something to think about.

Steve,

Think she has a Benny baby bird named Becker or something already (if I remember correctly from all the times she's mentioned it). (o:

But I have a bird question for you. With the eagle, I've seen a video or two in which his toupee flies off and...he's got a naked head. Wondering if that's something you rigged up or if the toupee comes that way already (detachable). Thanks.

Yes Rick, my eagle is actually bald with a fly-away toupee. He was customized for me... normally the hair on the head is attached. I rigged the hairpiece with a magnet so when I move the head with a certain amount of force, it falls off.

Very good. Thanks, Steve.

I've noticed that when I put an auburn/brown mini wig (actually designed for a large doll head) on my Laughin' Louie character, and then have him laugh so hard that his toupee flies off, it gets quite a few laughs. For some reason, exposure of the bald head is, on its own, hilariously funny. Flatulence seems to serve the same function too. Odd, these humans.
