I am mocking up a signal lamp for the '41 pattern mae west as a pouch filler. I have dowels in the right size and suitable wire. I would like to top it off with a reasonable facsimile of the clear bubble that protects the light bulb. In truth it has only to be there or thereabouts. anyone got any suggestions for what I could use and where to get it?

while I am at it I need to replicate the hose that comes from the stole. Anyone got any experience with that?

Many thanks
Tim

Years ago I made a 1/48th scale 'dambuster' Lancaster kit (in my 'modelling days'!) and needed a larger bomb aimers blister as the kit one was too shallow. I used clear plastic from a ferrero Rocher box, heated slightly and then used a marble to push into it to get the shape. It worked quite well after a couple of go's (there is enough plastic to do that), and would pass. Bearing in mind you dont need to replicate the screw thread at the base.
